Andhra Pradesh Sets September 29 Date for School Committee Elections
Schools across Andhra Pradesh will choose new School Management Committees on September 29.
These committees help schools be supervised and managed.
Officials will follow rules called the SMC Guidelines–2026.
A list of voters will be shown at each school.
People can raise objections to the list before the final list is published.
Voting for committee members will happen in the morning.
Chairpersons and vice-chairpersons will be chosen afterward.
The new committees will then take an oath and hold their first meeting.
Andhra Pradesh will hold School Management Committee elections across the state on September 29.
The elections will follow the SMC Guidelines–2026 issued by the Centre.
Voter lists will be displayed on September 18, with objections handled on September 25.
Members will be elected from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on September 29.
Chairpersons and vice-chairpersons will be elected later that day, followed by swearing-in and the first meeting.
