Snapana Tirumanjanam Ritual Held During Tirumala Brahmotsavams Celebrations
A special Hindu ceremony was held at the Tirumala temple on Monday.
It was part of the annual Brahmotsavams festival.
The ceremony is called Snapana Tirumanjanam, which means giving the temple deities a sacred bath.
Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi received the bath.
The bath used milk, curd, coconut water, honey, turmeric, and sandalwood paste.
Priests followed traditional Vaikhanasa Agama rules.
Religious scholars and singers recited sacred prayers and verses.
Temple officials and the Jeeyangar Swamijis also took part.
Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed for Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi at Tirumala.
The ritual took place at Ranganayakula Mandapam from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.
The deities were given a holy bath with milk, curd, coconut water, honey, turmeric, and sandalwood paste.
Archakas conducted the Abhishekam according to Vaikhanasa Agama traditions, with sacred mantras recited by TTD Veda Parayanadars.
Senior Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams officials and the Pedda and Chinna Jeeyangar Swamijis participated in the ceremony.
