Karnataka plans three Lalbagh-style gardens including defence land park
In PM Modi’s footsteps, Shivakumar eyes defence land for new Bengaluru garden · indianexpress.com

The leader of Karnataka, a state in India, wants to make three new big gardens in Bengaluru.

The gardens would be like Lalbagh, a famous large garden in the city.

One garden would be on land owned by the defence ministry.

The other two would be on forest land.

The leader wrote a letter asking for permission to build them.

He wants to meet the Union defence minister to discuss it.

He got the idea because the Prime Minister allowed a park to be built on defence land in Varanasi.

The land would still belong to the defence ministry.

The plans were announced at the opening of Lalbagh's 220th annual flower show.
