High Court Restores Two Children To Mother After Refusal
A mother named Kavita was seeking justice in a serious sexual offence case involving her five-year-old daughter.
She said her husband wanted her to settle the case instead of continuing with it.
Kavita said he made her leave their home when she refused.
He also kept their two young children with him.
The children were later placed in a shelter home for protection.
Kavita asked the High Court to help her get them back.
The court brought the children before it during a hearing.
Because the father did not appear, the court ordered that both children be returned to their mother immediately.
The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered immediate custody restoration to Kavita.
Kavita said her five-year-old daughter was the victim of a serious sexual offence.
She alleged that her husband pressured her to compromise in the criminal case and expelled her when she refused.
The children, aged five and three, were temporarily placed at Jeevan Jyoti Ashram shelter home by the Child Welfare Committee.
The court ordered the children handed to their mother after they were produced and their father failed to appear.
