Uttarakhand CM Dhami Orders Faster Action In SC/ST Cases

Uttarakhand is trying to make sure cases involving atrocities against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are handled quickly.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami told officials to investigate cases and move them through the courts without unnecessary delays.

He also said victims should receive money they are legally entitled to.

Families should get more than financial help, including medical care, education and protection.

Children from affected families should be able to continue school and receive scholarships when eligible.

Officials will study why some cases have remained pending.

A digital system may be created to track investigations, court hearings and assistance.

The government also plans to explain victims’ rights and available support in rural and remote areas.
