Delhi reports 4,003 cyber fraud cases, Rs 849 crore lost

In 2025, many people in Delhi, a big city in India, were tricked out of their money by criminals using computers and phones.

This kind of crime is called cyber fraud.

The police counted 4,003 of these cases during the year.

The people who were tricked lost about 849.80 crore rupees in total.

That is a huge amount of money.

The police arrested 3,544 people who they believe were involved in these crimes.

They also recovered about 112.76 crore rupees of the stolen money.

A government minister named Bandi Sanjay Kumar shared these numbers with Parliament.

The numbers came from the Delhi Police.
