Ahmedabad Security Guard Arrested for Alleged Assault on 23-Year-Old Student

A young woman who studies interior design was hurt by a security guard at her apartment building in the city of Ahmedabad.

She went up to the rooftop to walk and talk on the phone.

The guard, named Dharam Singh, asked her to do things she did not want to do.

When she said no, he hurt her and held her down using a wire.

He took her phone, locked her on the roof, and ran away.

She shouted for help, and people who live nearby came to rescue her.

Security cameras helped police figure out what happened and find the guard.

Police caught him the next morning, and when they took him to find the stolen phone, he tried to run away and grab an officer's gun.

Police fired at him to stop him, and he was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.

The company that hired him is also in trouble because it did not complete his background check before giving him the job.
