Delhi University is preparing rules for its 2026 student elections.

University officials and police met online to discuss how to keep the elections peaceful.

Campaign teams can have no more than five members on campus.

Their activities must not disturb classes or other academic work.

Male campaign members, except candidates, cannot enter girls’ colleges or hostels.

Vehicles cannot be parked on nearby roads during the election period.

Police patrols will be available all day and night.

Hostels will limit outside visitors, monitor canteens, and record outside vehicles at security points.
