Bhopal Municipal Assistant Accountant Suspended Over POS Irregularities

Bhopal Municipal Corporation suspended an employee named Sanjay Singh Parihar.

He worked as an assistant accountant in the Revenue Branch.

Officials inspected Zone No.

19 on August 21.

They found that some wards did not have POS machines for collecting money.

Staff said the machines had been given to Parihar for activation.

One bank said its machine was already active, even though it had been reported as inactive.

Another bank had given machines to Parihar on August 10.

Officials said he kept them for 10 days and distributed them without permission.

The corporation said this showed carelessness and failure to follow instructions.
