Teen Charged with Assaults After Southport Girls' Murder
Axel Rudakubana is a 19‑year‑old man who was already in prison for killing three girls at a dance party in Southport.
Now, police say he also attacked prison staff and other people in the prison.
He has new charges like assaulting an emergency worker and having a weapon.
He will go to court in London on September 11, 2025.
The prison moved him to a special hospital called Broadmoor, but the families of the girls think this was to trick the system.
Axel Rudakubana, 19, charged with multiple assaults on prison staff and emergency workers.
He previously received a life sentence for killing three girls at a Taylor Swift‑themed dance event in Southport on July 29, 2024.
Rudakubana also faces charges of attempted grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in prison.
He will appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 11, 2025.
He was transferred from prison to Broadmoor psychiatric hospital, a move described by the victims’ families as an attempt to manipulate the system.
