Odisha Launches Sujala Campaign to Promote Water Conservation
Odisha has started a campaign called Sujala to help people use water carefully.
It was opened by Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra in Bhubaneswar.
The campaign runs across the state from October 2 to October 16, 2026.
It teaches people why clean drinking water matters and how water-borne diseases can be prevented.
People are encouraged to turn off taps they are not using and fix leaks.
They can also collect rainwater, reuse water, and keep rubbish away from rivers and other water sources.
The campaign says that public utilities provide water, while everyone has a role in saving it.
People can call the campaign’s toll-free numbers to report water-supply problems or ask for help.
