WRO India Mumbai Regional Championship Showcases Young Robotics Innovators
Kids who love building robots got to show off their amazing inventions at a big robotics competition in Mumbai.
The competition is called the WRO India Mumbai Regional Championship.
This year's theme was 'Robots Meet Culture,' which means the kids made robots that help us learn about and celebrate different cultures.
Two famous movie stars, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh, came to watch and cheer for the kids.
They talked with the students and looked at all the cool robot projects.
The competition was organized by the India STEM Foundation and the National Council of Science Museums, with help from India's Ministry of Culture.
There were two groups of kids: the Future Innovators Elementary group and the Senior group.
Expert judges watched the students present their robots in several rounds.
The best teams will get to go to the national competition in Hyderabad in August 2026.
The event teaches kids that science, creativity, and having fun can all go together!

The event was jointly organized by India STEM Foundation (ISF) and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), with support from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh attended, cheering on students in the Future Innovators Elementary category.
Students in the Future Innovators Elementary and Senior categories presented solutions before expert judging panels through multiple rounds.
Qualifying teams will advance to the WRO India National Championship, scheduled 26-28 August 2026 at GMR Arena, GMR Aerocity Hyderabad.
