WRO India 2026 Sends Robotics Champions to Puerto Rico
Students from across India took part in a large robotics competition in Hyderabad.
They built robots and created computer programs to solve different challenges.
The competition had four sections: Future Innovators, RoboMission, RoboSports and Future Engineers.
Judges considered coding, engineering, creativity, teamwork and how well the students solved problems.
Teams from places such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Delhi-NCR won their categories.
These teams will travel to Puerto Rico for an international robotics competition.
The organisers said students learn by building, testing, failing and improving their ideas.
They also said robotics can help students use mathematics, science, engineering and computer programming in practical ways.
The WRO India National Championship 2026 was held from August 26 to 28 at GMR Arena in Hyderabad.
Student teams from across India competed in Future Innovators, RoboMission, RoboSports and Future Engineers.
Winners included teams from Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
All national category winners qualified to represent India at the International WRO Championship 2026 in Puerto Rico.
Organisers said robotics projects help students apply STEM concepts while developing creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
