EaseMyTrip posts ₹11.69 crore net loss in June quarter

EaseMyTrip is a website that helps people book flights, hotels, and trips.

In the three months from April to June, the company did not make a profit.

Instead, it lost 11.69 crore rupees.

A loss means the company spent more money than it earned.

Last year, during the same months, EaseMyTrip made a small profit of 44.3 lakh rupees.

The company actually earned more money this time — its revenue went up from 113.79 crore to 134.7 crore rupees.

But it also spent a lot more, as expenses grew from 117.66 crore to 152.7 crore rupees.

When spending grows faster than earning, a business ends up losing money.
