IIM Ahmedabad and Cyril Shroff Launch GC Leadership Academy

Two important Indian organizations are working together to teach the next generation of lawyers how to become great leaders.

The organizations are IIM Ahmedabad, a famous business school, and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, a top law firm.

Their leader, Cyril Shroff, is starting a special training program called the GC Leadership Academy.

The program is for lawyers who want to become General Counsels, the top legal officers inside companies.

In the past, General Counsels mainly gave legal advice.

Now, they are also leaders who help guide the whole company.

Their job can include planning strategy, managing risk, and even helping with technology decisions.

The Academy wants to train these lawyers to lead with good judgement and a sense of purpose.
