Waris Punjab De's Big Bet Shapes Punjab's 2027 Poll Chessboard
Voters in Punjab, a state in India, will choose their leaders in the year 2027.

Another group, the BJP, is thinking about choosing Jai Inder Kaur, whose father used to be the leader of Punjab.
The BJP also used to be friends with a group called the Akali Dal, and some people think they might become friends again.
The leader of the Akali Dal even went to meet the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Modi.
The party that leads Punjab now, called AAP, won almost all the seats last time and wants to win again.
