India Disconnects 88 Lakh Suspicious Mobile Connections
The Indian government has disconnected around 88 lakh mobile connections that were suspected of being used for fraud.
They used a special tool called ASTR, which uses artificial intelligence to find suspicious connections.

Around 50.90 lakh mobile connections were disconnected based on 11.18 lakh crowd-sourced reports of suspected fraud communications.
The Chakshu facility of Sanchar Saathi enables citizens to report suspected fraud communications.
DoT developed the Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) for bi-directional information sharing with stakeholders to prevent cyber crimes.
The National Cyber Coordination Centre (NCCC) examines cyberspace to detect cyber security threats and shares information with concerned organizations.
