Visakhapatnam to Host Second BRICS Youth Ministers’ Meeting
Visakhapatnam will host an important meeting for youth ministers from 11 BRICS countries.
The meeting will take place on August 22 and 23.
Leaders will talk about helping young people gain skills, start businesses and use new ideas.
They will also discuss sports, education, technology and cooperation.
Visitors will see the ancient site of Thotlakonda and attend cultural programmes about Andhra Pradesh.
A five-kilometre friendship cycle rally will take place near the beach.
Government officials are preparing hotels, meeting places, transport and security.
The event is intended to show Visakhapatnam’s heritage, beauty and hospitality to international visitors.
Representatives from 11 BRICS countries will attend the meeting in Visakhapatnam on August 22 and 23.
Discussions will cover youth empowerment, sports, education, skills, entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability.
Delegates will visit Thotlakonda, attend cultural programmes and participate in bilateral meetings.
A five-kilometre BRICS Friendship Cycle Rally is scheduled along Visakhapatnam’s coastline on August 23.
Authorities are coordinating security, transport, medical, fire, food-safety and venue arrangements for the summit.
