India Hosts BRICS Youth and Sports Ministers in Visakhapatnam
India is hosting a two-day meeting for youth and sports leaders from BRICS countries.
The meeting will take place in Visakhapatnam on August 22 and 23.
Representatives from all 11 BRICS member countries are expected to participate.
They will discuss ways to help young people through education, skills, entrepreneurship, leadership, and empowerment.
They will also talk about cultural exchange and sustainable development.
Sports leaders will discuss traditional and indigenous sports, technology, innovation, and manufacturing.
The countries are expected to approve shared statements about youth and sports cooperation.
A friendship cycling event will also be part of the programme.
Visakhapatnam will host BRICS youth and sports ministers from August 22 to 23.
Ministers and heads of delegation from all 11 BRICS member countries are expected to attend.
Youth discussions will address development, empowerment, education, skills, entrepreneurship, leadership, and cultural exchange.
Sports talks will focus on indigenous disciplines, technology, innovation, manufacturing, and cooperation.
The programme is expected to produce joint declarations and include a BRICS Friendship Cycling Event.
