The Central Administrative Tribunal issued a notice to the Union Public Service Commission over challenged Civil Services Preliminary Examination questions.
Students alleged that eight General Studies and CSAT questions had no correct option among the four choices.
They claimed the alleged errors affected more than 16 marks, including negative marking.
On August 17, their advocate sought permission for applicants to provisionally take the 2026 Civil Services Main Examination.
The next hearing is scheduled for October 8, 2026, while the Main Examination is scheduled for August 21–31.
