Chhattisgarh Promotes Nava Raipur as Golfing Destination
Chhattisgarh is trying to become a place where many important sports events are held.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said a large golf tournament in Nava Raipur is an important step.
The tournament began on September 15 and will run until September 18.
It includes 132 professional golfers from India and other countries.
Former cricket captain Kapil Dev also attended the opening ceremony.
The chief minister said better facilities and training can help young athletes.

The tournament is being held at Fairway Golf & Lake Resort from September 15 to 18.
A total of 132 professional golfers, including 18 foreign players, are participating.
Sai highlighted sports infrastructure, the Mukhyamantri Khel Utkarsh Mission and sports tourism as state priorities.
