Haryana approves purchase of 26,161 transformers to boost power infrastructure

To help with this, it decided to buy more than 26,000 transformers.

Haryana's High-Powered Purchase Committee approved the purchase of 26,161 transformers for the state's power corporations.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh on Monday.
The committee also approved the procurement of 5,000 to 7,500 T&P safety kits, each comprising 14 items, for linemen and assistant linemen.
The safety kits are intended for workers at Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
Saini said the move aims to ensure uninterrupted power supply and maintain sufficient transformer backup for emergencies.
