Mumbai Restaurants Announce Traditional Onam Sadhya Feasts For 2026
Onam is a festival from Kerala that is celebrated with a large traditional meal called Sadhya.
The meal is usually served on a banana leaf.
It can include rice, many vegetable dishes, curries, chips, pickles and papadam.
The meal usually ends with a sweet dish called payasam.
In August 2026, ten restaurants and hotels in Mumbai will serve their own versions of this feast.
Some meals will have more than 40 dishes, while others will have about 20 to 30.
Guests can choose from different locations, dates and prices.
Some restaurants will serve only vegetarian food, while others will include dishes such as Malabar chicken curry.
The celebrations are designed to bring Kerala’s food traditions to Mumbai.
Ten Mumbai venues are offering traditional Onam Sadhya meals in August 2026.
The banana-leaf feasts include Kerala staples such as avial, thoran, olan, sambar, pickles, papadam and payasam.
South of Vindhyas is offering the largest spread, with 56 vegetarian preparations.
Santosham will serve more than 40 unlimited Kerala dishes, while Tanjore Tiffin Room is offering 30 dishes.
Prices range from ₹1,299++ at HyLo to ₹8,000 plus taxes at Fifty Five East.
