Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari faces public test, apologise if fail
The leader in charge of a place called West Bengal made a big promise.
He said that after one year of his job, people can test him like a school exam.
If he does not get at least 9 out of 10 marks, he will say sorry.
He made this promise on the day his team finished 100 days of work.
He talked about many things his team has done, like helping guard the border and starting health care for people.
He also said many people will get jobs through fair written tests.
He wants to build new factories so young people can find work near home.
One new steel factory will cost a lot of money and give jobs to about 10,000 people.
He also wants to stop bad people from taking money at sand digging places.
He said people should tell him if anyone asks for money unfairly.
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said he will sit a public 'test' on May 9, 2027, his first anniversary in office, and apologise if he scores below 9 out of 10.
His remarks came as his government completed 100 days in office.
He cited achievements including land for BSF fencing along the 600km Indo-Bangladesh border, the Census exercise, Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, Ayushman Bharat, and exclusion of illegal OBC certificates.
He promised nearly 100,000 merit-based recruitments by March 31, 2027, legalisation of all sand ghats, 30 lakh houses, and inclusion of Kurmali in the Eighth Schedule.
He laid the foundation stone for Amit Metaliks Ltd's Rs 4,000 crore steel plant at Raghunathpur, expected to create 10,000 jobs.
