Delhi CM Urges Teachers to Build Responsible Citizens Through Values

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta asked teachers to help children become responsible citizens.

She said students should learn to keep places clean and protect the environment.

They should also follow rules, be disciplined and help people in need.

Teachers should teach children how to stay safe, including understanding ‘good touch and bad touch.’

Gupta said every child should be in school, including children found begging or outside the education system.

She said schools help children gain knowledge, skills, confidence and good values.

The Delhi government has set aside Rs 19,148 crore for education in 2026-27.

It is also creating 170 language labs in government schools.

At the ceremony, 118 teachers were recognised for their contributions.
