PM Modi Launches Kovind's Autobiography, Warns Youth Against Shortcuts

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, helped launch a new book.

The book is an autobiography — a true story about a real person's own life — written by Ram Nath Kovind, who used to be the President of India.

It is called 'Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles.'

The launch took place in New Delhi, the capital of India, at a big government convention centre called Vigyan Bhavan.

At the launch, Modi told young people to read autobiographies instead of spending all their time on short videos called reels on social media.

He warned that taking shortcuts can be harmful and reminded them of a sign seen at railway stations: 'Shortcuts will cut you short.'

Modi said Kovind kept working on important ideas even after being President, like 'One Nation, One Election,' which could open a new chapter for Indian democracy.

He also shared stories about Kovind's kindness and humility, like bowing to touch the feet of his old teachers when he visited his village.

Modi talked about Kovind's sad childhood, when his mother died in a house fire.

He said reading about real lives like Kovind's can inspire young people to work hard and overcome challenges.
