Allahabad High Court seeks answers from UP DGP over unregistered FIR
A woman said her boss hurt her and did very bad things that are against the law.
She went to the police to report it, but they did not write down her complaint.
The law says police must write down complaints about serious crimes.
She tried again and even asked the police chief for help, but still nothing happened.
So she went to a judge, and the judge made the police start a case.
The man she complained about said her story was not true and was revenge for another case where she had been arrested.
The High Court asked why the police did not do their job.
It told the top police officer of the state to look into it and explain within four weeks.
The court did not decide who was telling the truth and said both sides must be investigated.
The Allahabad High Court ordered an inquiry into Ghaziabad police officers, including the police commissioner, for failing to register a woman's complaint of digital rape, molestation and criminal intimidation.
The court directed the Uttar Pradesh DGP to examine why the FIR was not registered and why the woman's July 7 complaint to the police commissioner went unanswered.
The woman, a former admin employee, alleged her employer molested her, digitally penetrated her and threatened her and her family between October 2025 and March 2026.
The accused claimed the FIR was a counter-blast to an extortion case in which she was among three people arrested on April 15 and granted bail on May 21.
The court dismissed the accused's petition but clarified it made no final finding on the truth of the allegations, noting the two FIRs concerned different alleged occurrences.
