Kakinada Gynaecologists Hold Walkathon for Doctors' Safety on Abhaya Day
A group of doctors called gynaecologists held a big walking event, called a walkathon, in a city named Kakinada.
They did this on Sunday, which they call 'Abhaya Day'.
The day remembers a medical student who was hurt and died while working at a hospital in Kolkata.
The walk was meant to remind everyone that doctors and nurses should be safe at work.
Many important leaders joined the walk, including the district collector and the president of the doctors' group.
The district collector promised that the government will do everything needed to keep doctors safe.
A judge said doctors should also be careful while caring for patients because people can get very emotional.
The leader in charge of medical education said cameras are being put up in hospitals and medical colleges.
These cameras help watch what happens and keep everyone secure.
