Hyderabad Infrastructure Projects Face Central Clearance Delays

Hyderabad is a big city in India that wants to build new roads, tunnels, water pipes and train lines to make life better for its people.

But before the city can build, it needs permission from the country's central government.

Many of these permissions have not come yet, so the work is stuck.

For example, a tunnel under the old airport runway and another near a defence area are waiting for approval.

Plans to fix the sewers and clean up the Musi River also need the central government's okay.

Some projects are stuck because the land belongs to the army or police, and the city has to arrange a swap.

The city also wants to build a new metro rail to reduce traffic, but the central government has not decided on it yet.

The state government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, keeps asking for faster approvals.

Until the central government says yes, the projects stay on hold and residents keep waiting.
