Mumbai University, Marathi Language University Sign MoU to Boost Research
Two universities decided to work together.
One is the University of Mumbai.
The other is the Marathi Language University in Riddhapur.
They signed a special agreement called a Memorandum of Understanding, or MoU.
The agreement is about studying and protecting the Marathi language.
The universities will research Marathi books, culture, folk traditions, and dialects.

University of Mumbai's MyBoli Study and Research Centre signed an MoU with the Marathi Language University, Riddhapur in Amravati district to promote Marathi language research.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Vice-Chancellors Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni and Prof. Avinash Avalgaonkar.
The universities will jointly undertake research on Marathi language, literature, culture, folk traditions and diverse dialects.
Planned activities include academic exchanges for students and faculty, conferences, workshops, lecture series and training programmes.
The collaboration will also cover emerging fields such as AI, natural language processing, language technology and computational linguistics, in line with NEP 2020.
