Chhattisgarh to Host India’s First State-Level Hockey League
Chhattisgarh is starting a new hockey competition.
It will be the first official state-level hockey league in India, according to the report.
Six teams from different parts of the state will play in it.
The matches will take place in Raipur from October 21 to November 1.
Teams will first play in a round-robin stage.
The best four teams will then reach the semifinals.
A final will be played on November 1.
Women’s teams will also play a special exhibition match that day.
The inaugural Chhattisgarh Hockey League will run from October 21 to November 1 in Raipur.
The Hockey India-backed franchise league will feature six teams representing regions of Chhattisgarh.
Gurjant Singh, Shamsher Singh and Surender Kumar are among the marquee players.
The league will use a round-robin format, followed by semifinals and a November 1 final.
A women’s exhibition match is planned for the day of the final.
