Hyderabad Woman Confronts 'Fake' Rapido Driver in Viral Video
A woman named Siddeshwari was waiting for an auto-rickshaw in a big city called Hyderabad at night.
Suddenly, a man on a scooter came up to her and asked if she wanted a ride using an app called Rapido.
Siddeshwari was smart, so she asked him to show his driver ID and vehicle number.
The man could not show her anything, and he started downloading the Rapido app on the spot.
When she took his phone, it showed a page asking for a special code called an OTP.
He made excuses and said his scooter would not start, so she told him to go away.
She recorded the whole thing and shared the video online so other people would be careful.
In less than a day, more than two million people watched the video.
Siddeshwari said the app company is not to blame, because she trusts Rapido and always uses its autos and cabs, not bikes.
The company had not given any reply about the video when the story was published.

The man claimed his vehicle would not start; Siddeshwari snatched his phone and saw it on the 'enter OTP' page, then told him to leave, saying 'Sidha nikal ab yaha se.'
The confrontation video went viral, accumulating more than 2 million views in less than 24 hours of being posted.
Siddeshwari clarified she does not blame Rapido and trusts the service because of its safety checks, adding that she always books Rapido autos or cabs rather than bikes; Rapido had not publicly responded at the time of publication.
