Tata's Trent Posts 22% Profit Rise on Zudio, Westside Expansion
Trent is a company that sells clothes in India.
Its stores have names like Westside and Zudio.
Trent just told everyone how much money it made in the last three months.
It made more money than before, with profit going up by 22%.
That is like getting 22 more coins for every 100 coins you earned last time.
Trent opened many new stores in smaller cities and towns.
More stores mean more people can buy clothes, which helps the company earn more.
But some things cost more to make now, so Trent has to be smart about prices.
Trent also said that trouble in the Middle East could make shipping and prices harder.
Even so, Trent grew a lot compared to last year.
Trent's quarterly profit rose 22% to 5.19 billion rupees ($54.5 million) for the quarter ended June 30.
Revenue climbed 18% to 57.55 billion rupees in the same period.
The company ended June with 1,312 stores, including about 300 Westside and over 980 Zudio outlets across 330 cities.
Expansion of Westside and Zudio beyond metropolitan cities helped offset pressure from rising costs.
Trent warned that prolonged Middle East disruptions could affect supply chains, commodity prices, and inflation.
