Nissanka and Chamari Athapaththu crowned SLC Cricketers of the Year
Sri Lanka Cricket held a big party to thank the best cricket players of last year.
A man named Pathum Nissanka was chosen as the best men's player of the year because he scored lots of runs.
A woman named Chamari Athapaththu was chosen as the best women's player of the year, and she won many prizes!
Other players also won awards for being the best at batting, bowling, and all-round playing.
Some young players got awards too, because they are new and doing a very good job.
The ceremony also remembered four special people who helped cricket for a very long time.
They were given a special award called a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Everyone gathered in Colombo, which is the capital of Sri Lanka, for this celebration.
It was a happy night for cricket fans and players alike.
Pathum Nissanka and Chamari Athapaththu were named men's and women's Cricketer of the Year at the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Awards.
Nissanka scored 1,414 runs across formats at an average of 40.40 in 2025, including 625 runs in 18 T20Is at a strike rate of 149.16.
Chamari Athapaththu swept multiple honours, including Best T20I Batter, Best ODI Bowler, and the all-rounder awards in both white-ball formats.
Four stalwarts received Lifetime Achievement Awards: Michael Tissera, Anura Tennekoon, Reemus Fernando, and Kelum Srimal.
The ceremony also honoured winners across Test, ODI, and T20I categories in both men's and women's cricket, as well as emerging player awards.
The awards, held in Colombo, celebrated performances from the 2025 cricket season.
Charith Asalanka, Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, Prabath Jayasuriya, and Wanindu Hasaranga were among the other men's award winners.
Harshitha Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari won women's Best ODI Batter and Best T20I Bowler, respectively.
