Mumbai Housing Sales Hit Highest Nine-Month Level Since 2018
Mumbai sold 72,804 homes in the first nine months of 2026.
That was the city’s highest total for those months since 2018.
Builders brought 72,673 new homes to market, nearly matching the number sold.
More than half of sales were still homes costing less than INR 1 crore, but sales in those price groups slipped slightly.

Homes below INR 1 crore remained the majority of sales, although sales fell 6% below INR 50 lakh and 1% from INR 50 lakh to INR 1 crore.
Sales increased across price bands above INR 1 crore, with growth reaching 40% for homes priced INR 10–20 crore and 35% for INR 20–50 crore.
Mumbai prices rose 5% year over year to INR 37,064 per sq ft in Q3; quarters to sell improved to 6.4 from 6.6 a year earlier.
