Gail Lerner is fired from NBC comedy she created before its premiere

Gail Lerner says she was fired from Newlyweds, the NBC sitcom she created.

She said she was told the reason was “creative differences.”

The show has not premiered yet, and its first six episodes were made under her leadership.

The change means Lerner will not continue working on the series ahead of its debut.
