Dominion Dynamics to build Ukrainian ground vehicles in Canada
Ottawa-based Dominion Dynamics has agreed to build Tencore’s uncrewed ground vehicles in Canada under a partnership with the Ukrainian defence technology firm.
The vehicles, called TerMIT, are modular and can be adapted to carry supplies, evacuate people or carry weapons.
They can operate without a person on board, and the agreement includes Dominion’s AuraNet command-and-control platform for front-line use in Ukraine.
Tencore says it has delivered more than 5,000 uncrewed ground vehicles to Ukrainian military units since 2024.
The partnership comes as Canada and Ukraine expand cooperation on defence production, including a drone collaboration agreement announced last month.
The deal could add Canadian manufacturing capacity for vehicles intended for Ukraine’s defence against Russia.
The companies are still working on a definitive agreement, and initial production is planned for 2027, after Tencore transfers its technology and trains technicians in Canada.
Dominion Dynamics has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ukraine’s Tencore to manufacture uncrewed ground vehicles in Canada for Ukraine.
The Ottawa-based company plans to build Tencore’s modular TerMIT vehicle and integrate Dominion’s AuraNet command-and-control platform.
The agreement follows a commitment by Canadian and Ukrainian leaders to jointly produce uncrewed systems, counterdrone technologies and munitions.
The deal is still being worked out, and Dominion is pursuing Canadian government funding and authorization to export Ukrainian technology.
Dominion plans to build five prototypes before initial production, which the company says is planned for 2027.

What people are saying
Canada has the workforce and the suppliers to build at scale.
This agreement is how two companies start turning that commitment into vehicles, and we intend to move fast.
Battlefield requirements change in weeks, so production, operational feedback, and engineering have to run as a loop: build, deploy, learn, change, scale.
