Microsoft adds experimental controls to WinUI Gallery 3.0

Microsoft has updated WinUI Gallery to version 3.0, changing how developers can explore Windows app features.

WinUI Gallery is a sample app that shows developers how Windows interface components work and provides code examples.

Previously, it generally added controls only after they reached a stable Windows App SDK release.

Now developers can try experimental controls earlier and send feedback to Microsoft while the features are still being developed.

New samples include TableView, charts, and layout controls, alongside simpler windowing APIs.

The update also improves search and adds browser-like navigation with the mouse back and forward buttons.

Earlier testing and feedback could help shape Windows controls and support better Windows 11 apps.
