Trump says he may meet Kim Jong Un during Asia trip in November
U.S. President Donald Trump said he may meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during a trip to Asia next month.
Trump is due to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Shenzhen, China, on November 18 and 19.
He has said before that he hopes to meet Kim again this year.
The two leaders met three times in 2018 and 2019, but their talks did not produce an agreement.
They had agreed to work toward denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula, while North Korea continued to strengthen its missile and nuclear capabilities.
A new meeting could reopen direct talks between Washington and Pyongyang, but Trump has not confirmed that one will happen.
U.S. officials have said Trump is willing to engage with North Korea if talks serve U.S. national interests.
