Marvin Harrison Jr. trade destination remains unclear as Cardinals weigh offer

The Arizona Cardinals have told wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. that he will be traded, but the deal had not been finalized as of Sunday morning.

The 24-year-old was the fourth overall pick in the 2024 draft and will miss Arizona’s game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Houston is among the teams that have contacted the Cardinals, and Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was Harrison’s teammate at Ohio State.

Other teams could still become involved, and the Texans’ game against the Tennessee Titans could affect what happens.

Harrison has five catches through four games this season, but had 885 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie in 2024.

Arizona had hoped to receive as much as a first-round draft pick, and people familiar with the talks expect a strong return.

The Cardinals still need to complete the trade, after which Harrison’s new team and the compensation will be clear.
