Navi Pillay wins Nobel Peace Prize for work on war crimes and human rights
Navi Pillay has spent much of her career defending human rights and challenging racial discrimination.
She won the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for her work to bring people accused of serious crimes to justice.
She is also a judge at the International Court of Justice in a case in which Myanmar is accused of genocide.
The prize recognizes efforts to hold people accountable for such crimes.
