Dalaroo finds similar gold-bearing geology 1.25km from discovery
Dalaroo Metals is exploring for gold at its Bondoukou project in Côte d’Ivoire.
A new drillhole found a 34-metre zone of altered rock and quartz veining, starting 62 metres below the surface.
The hole is 1.25 kilometres from an earlier discovery, where drilling found 18 metres grading 7.31 grams of gold per tonne.
Dalaroo says the rocks in the new hole look similar to those in the discovery hole, but visual signs alone cannot confirm how much gold is present.
Samples from the new hole are being tested, with results expected before the end of October.
The company has completed 10 of 24 planned initial drillholes at Wilfred and is preparing another hole to examine the new zone from a different angle.
It also plans follow-up diamond drilling and a survey along the wider Gold Ridge corridor to help choose further drill targets.
Dalaroo Metals reported a 34-metre zone of alteration and quartz veining in a new drillhole at its Bondoukou gold project in Côte d’Ivoire.
The hole is 1.25 kilometres from an earlier discovery that returned 18 metres at 7.31 grams per tonne of gold.
The company said the new hole’s geology is visually similar to that in the discovery hole, but assay results are not yet available.
Dalaroo is drilling to assess the scale and continuity of the mineralisation.
- Who
- Dalaroo Metals, an exploration company.
- What
- A new drillhole encountered a 34-metre zone of alteration and quartz veining, with geology visually similar to an earlier gold discovery.
- When
- The report was published on October 12, 2026; the new hole’s samples were in transit.
- Where
- The Bondoukou gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, 1.25 kilometres from the earlier discovery.
- Why
- Dalaroo is assessing the scale and continuity of the mineralisation and whether the geological features are associated with further gold.
This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
Dalaroo’s second hole returned 18m at 7.31g/t gold from 63m, and an initial hole returned 23 metres at 2.14g/t gold from surface.
Dalaroo reported alteration and quartz veining in a new hole 1.25 kilometres from the earlier discovery.
Results from the new hole’s samples were expected.
A diamond drill rig was scheduled to mobilise for follow-up work around the original high-grade discovery.
Assay results for previous holes in the campaign were anticipated.
- New alteration zone
- 34 metres wide, from 62m downhole
- Distance from earlier discovery
- 1.25 kilometres
- Earlier discovery intercept
- 18m at 7.31g/t gold from 63m
- Maiden orientation program
- 24 holes totalling 4,200 metres
- Gold Ridge corridor
- 7 kilometres long
What people are saying
Our focus is on building the geological evidence to assess the scale and continuity of the mineralisation.
We are encouraged that hole has now encountered alteration, quartz-sulphide veining and a rock sequence comparable to that seen in the discovery hole.
