Saudi Arabia Reports Attacks on Riyadh and Dammam Airports

Saudi authorities said attacks targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on Sunday.

The account attributes the attacks to Yemen’s Houthi movement, while a coalition spokesperson said an unidentified projectile struck a passenger terminal in Riyadh.

The Riyadh airport attack caused a fire and put passengers and workers at risk.

The account gives conflicting figures for the toll: one statement says a Pakistani resident was killed and 11 people were injured, while another gives 12 deaths and 309 injuries.

Authorities said they were assessing damage and checking the airports’ facilities.

Saudi officials said air defences also intercepted missiles and drones in different areas.

The coalition said it would respond to the attack in line with international humanitarian law.
