Israeli forces raid Palestinian groups and hospital grounds in Ramallah

Israeli forces raided two Palestinian organisations in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday.

The groups were the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees and Addameer, which supports prisoners and works on human rights.

Forces also entered the courtyard of the Palestine Medical Complex, the West Bank’s largest government medical facility.

Snipers were reported near the hospital entrances, while equipment belonging to Addameer was being confiscated.

The raid took place in central Ramallah during the day and caused panic among residents, according to a journalist reporting from the city.

Israeli forces had previously closed Addameer’s offices and classified the organisation as a terrorist group.

The available information does not say whether the offices will reopen or what will happen next.
