Many Peaks reports deep gold results beneath Ouarigue resource in Côte d’Ivoire
Many Peaks Minerals has drilled below the existing Ouarigue gold resource at its Ferké project in Côte d’Ivoire.
A drill hole returned 188.9 metres of gold mineralisation grading 3.58 grams per tonne, including a higher-grade section.
The company says the results show the mineralised system continues beneath the current resource.
The drilling data will be used in an updated estimate of the resource, which is being prepared for completion this quarter.
Separate, shallow drilling about three kilometres south found gold and outlined a prospective trend roughly one kilometre long, but more drilling is needed to establish its size and continuity.
The company is also carrying out pre-feasibility work on an open-pit mine and considering an assessment of possible underground development.
Further drilling and outstanding assay results are expected to help guide the project’s next assessments.
Many Peaks Minerals reported deep gold results beneath the existing Ouarigue resource at its Ferké project in Côte d’Ivoire.
The standout drill intercept was 188.9 metres at 3.58 grams of gold per tonne, including 46.75 metres at 7.02 grams per tonne.
The company said the results mark the data cut-off for a resource update, which it expects to complete this quarter.
Regional drilling about 3 kilometres south of Ouarigue also found shallow gold, outlining a prospective trend roughly 1 kilometre long.
Further drilling is needed to establish the trend’s continuity, geometry and extent.
- Who
- Many Peaks Minerals reported the results. Managing director Travis Schwertfeger commented on the drilling.
- What
- Extension drilling returned broad gold mineralisation beneath the Ouarigue resource, including 188.9 metres at 3.58 grams per tonne.
- When
- The results were reported on 13 October 2026. The company expects the resource update this quarter.
- Where
- At the Ouarigue deposit within the Ferké project in Côte d’Ivoire, with regional drilling about 3 kilometres south.
- Why
- The drilling tested extensions beneath the existing resource and will inform an updated mineral resource estimate.
This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
Regional reconnaissance lines were spaced about 800 metres apart.
Extension drilling results set the planned data cut-off, and geological modelling and estimation were under way.
Stockhead reported the deep Ouarigue results and regional drilling targets.
Many Peaks expects to complete its planned 60,000-metre drilling program across Côte d’Ivoire.
- Standout intercept
- 188.9 metres at 3.58 grams of gold per tonne from a downhole depth of 633 metres
- Higher-grade interval
- 46.75 metres at 7.02 grams per tonne from 775.2 metres
- Other diamond intercept
- 59.2 metres at 2.3 grams per tonne from 556.8 metres
- Regional result
- 9 metres at 4.33 grams per tonne from 30 metres, about 3 kilometres south of Ouarigue
- Planned drilling
- 60,000 metres across Côte d’Ivoire, expected to be completed by year-end
What people are saying
These strong extension drill results again demonstrate the strong continuity of high-grade gold beneath the existing Ouarigue resource and suggest increasing ounces per vertical metre at depth
