Mandalika MotoGP draws record 157,875 spectators

The 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at the Mandalika circuit in West Nusa Tenggara drew 157,875 spectators.

That was 12.5% more than the 140,324 people who attended in 2025.

Organizers InJourney, ITDC and MGPA say they want the race to support tourism and local businesses as well as host international motorsport.

Two Indonesian riders competed at home: Veda Ega Pratama finished sixth in Moto3, and Mario Suryo Aji finished 20th in Moto2.

In 2025, the event involved more than 3,000 local workers and more than 600 small and medium-sized businesses, with an estimated national economic impact of Rp4.96 trillion.

Organizers say they will use this year’s experience to assess operations, coordination and community involvement.

They aim to make future races bring greater benefits to people in the region.
