Frieren Artist Tsukasa Abe Shares Art for Firefly Wedding Anime

Tsukasa Abe, the manga artist who illustrates Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, has shared original art for the new anime Firefly Wedding.

The series premiered on Oct.

9, 2026, and is based on a manga by Oreco Tachibana.

Set in Japan during the Meiji Era, it follows Satoko, the daughter of a wealthy count with a serious heart condition.

After assassins kidnap her, she proposes marriage to Shinpei, one of the men hired to kill her, in an effort to survive.

Abe’s illustration shows Satoko in Shinpei’s arms, with blood on her body, reflecting the story’s dark mix of danger and romance.

The anime is produced by David Production and stars Lynn as Satoko and Koki Uchiyama as Shinpei.

Firefly Wedding is streaming on Crunchyroll, and VIZ Media publishes the manga in English.
