Survey Gives Prabowo and Gibran Scores Below 5 out of 10

A survey by Celios and the Shadow Cabinet assessed the performance of Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka as they entered their administration’s second year.

Experts gave Prabowo 2.8 out of 10 and Gibran 2.2, while members of the public gave them 4.6 and 4.9.

In the expert group, 71 percent of 129 respondents said Prabowo’s leadership capacity was inadequate.

The public survey included 1,142 people across Indonesian provinces and used non-probability sampling, with weighting to reflect the population aged over 17.

The expert group was recruited through snowball sampling and included people from different disciplines.

The research followed earlier evaluations of the administration at 100 days and one year.

The survey’s results suggest that both groups viewed the leaders’ performance unfavourably, though public ratings were higher than expert ratings.
