Turkish contractors complete $570 billion in projects across 139 countries
Turkey’s Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said Turkish contractors have completed 12,900 projects in 139 countries.
He put the value of the completed contracts at $570 billion.
Bolat made the remarks at a general assembly programme of the European International Contractors association.
He also said Turkey’s goods and services exports had reached $409 billion over the year to September.
Including imports, he said the country’s total foreign trade was $865 billion, more than half of national income.
Bolat said exports, imports and transit trade play an important role in the growth of Turkey’s economy.
He also said Turkey has 89,000 foreign-invested companies, with 63% from Europe.
