Siren Head Film Is Still in Early Development, Brian Duffield Says

Siren Head, an internet-born horror creature, is being developed as a film by writers Zach Cregger and Brian Duffield.

The creature was created by Trevor Henderson and became popular online through drawings, animations and fan-made stories.

Duffield says he and Cregger have discussed ideas with Henderson, who has been excited by what they have shared so far.

He says the film’s central idea may surprise people, but its plot has not been disclosed.

The project is still at an early stage, and Duffield says he and Cregger need to get to work on it after their busy schedules.

Duffield is expected to direct, but that has not been confirmed.

The project follows the box-office success of Backrooms, another film adapted from online horror, which has helped spur Hollywood interest in internet-born stories.

What people are saying

I owe Zach Cregger a phone call because I've been so busy with press, and then he was on the Resident Evil press tour. It's something that we've got to get into,

I'm really excited. It was something that he brought to me a couple of months ago, and it's been really fun to get to know Trevor Henderson, the creator of Siren Head, in that time.

I think the idea that Zach Cregger came up with is not what people are expecting, but I think it's really exciting.

I can't wait to dive in after I take a long, long nap after [Whalefall].
